Summary:

The Mount Wilson Trail is one of the finest trails in the Los Angeles area. It’s also close to easy and free parking. You can make a long or short hike of it. The long hike takes you all the way to the top of Mount Wilson. I chose a shorter hike to Orchard Camp which makes a good lunch spot. Try out the First Water Alternate trail on the way back. It’s highly recommended by Ms. “D”. Grab yourself a cup of coffee and dessert at Bean Towne after the hike. It’s one of my favorites.
